Masculine Birthday Card

Masculine Birthday Card

My Dad will be turning 83 on April 22nd and I want something that will look a little more masculine for him. This is the first card that I've made for him so I want it to be something unique and special.

Starting with Pumpkin Pie for the base card, I've added a piece of an older card stock from Stampin Up that I had on hand - looks kind of old letters, antique glasses, and old pocket watches.  Then using the Big Shot I made two labels from the Labels Collection Framelets. On the one 2nd from the smallest I've stamped from Vintage Verses the verse that says WISHING YOU A DAY AS PERFECT AS YOU ARE.  The pocket watch is something that I had in my misc. scraps that I've saved over time.  Just seems to add a nice finishing touch.

This would also make a terrific Fathers Day card.

Have fun stamping!

Blessings,

Judy

Hi Everyone:

How about a bright and cheery card to start a beautiful spring day. The following card is done using the Fabulous Florets Stamp set - this is one of the cards I'm going to be demonstrating at my classes in April. When I first noticed this stamp Amanda Fowler had just created the following card, and I fell in love with the colors so I cased it. So bright and springy (is there such a word??) I love this stamp set  because it has both silhouette and line art stamps and is great one to watercolor.

It is so simple -  using just 2 colors of ink which are Lucky Limeade and Tangerine Tango.  The ribbon is from the sale-a-bration ribbon and button pack The envelope is made from the Sycamore Street Designer Series paper from sale-a-bration.

This would make a beautiful Birthday Card, Get Well Card or how about a Happy Spring card.

Have a great day!

Judy
